CD, or Completely Denatured Ethanol 95% is a 190 proof blend that contains chemical agents (such as methanol, isopropyl alcohol, and MIBK) rendering the alcohol unfit for drinking, thus lifting many of the permits/requirements for purchase, and related excise taxes that would apply to pure (or un-denatured) ethanol.
